Jon Keeyes made his screenwriting and directorial debut in 2001 with American Nightmare. The critically-acclaimed horror film followed serial killer Jane Toppan on Halloween night as she brings to life the fears of a group of friends. He followed that up with Suburban Nightmare, which he also wrote. A satire on the disintegration of marriage in America, the movie spends the night with Charles and Deborah Rosenblad as their relationship crumbles around them with violent and tragic consequences. Quickly following this, Keeyes directed Hallow’s End from a screenplay by Christopher J. Burdick. A throwback to the 80’s horror films, Hallow’s End watches eight college friends become trapped in a haunted house on Halloween night as evil forces begin turning them into their costumes. He then directed Mad Bad from a script by Jason Kabolati. A dramatic and stylized film, the story chronicles an ex-con struggling to rebuild his life when he falls back into crime. Jon then wrote and directed the crime thriller Living & Dying, starring MICHAEL MADSEN, EDWARD FURLONG, ARNOLD VOSLOO and BAI LING. Living & Dying was released to the European theatrical market through Warner Bros. and domestically by HBO Home Video. He followed this with the horror thriller Fall Down Dead starring DOMINIQUE SWAIN, UDO KIER and DAVID CARRADINE. Most recently Jon completed the feature films Phobia, with ERICA LEERHSEN, and Nightmare Box with DEBBIE ROCHON and NICHOLAS BALL. Both are slated for release in 2012.

Prior to filmmaking, Jon Keeyes worked as an entertainment journalist, publishing more than three hundred articles and interviews for feature films throughout North America. In 2000, Jon formed the production company Highland Myst Entertainment with Richard T. Carey.
