Kristen McGuire is a self published manga artist who has plagued the local anime conventions for years convincing unsuspecting victims to purchase her comic book series, Enchanted.
She received her Associate’s Degree in Visual Art and Communications in October 2009. It was during her education that Kristen started creating Enchanted. She started selling individualized chapters in 2008 and has not looked back since.
Her newest comic book A Day in the Life of a Cat Girl is set to make its debut in early 2013.
Kristen has been a guest artist at some smaller conventions including Cozby Con, Mini A-kon, and Micro A-kon in the Dallas and Denton area. She debuted as a guest for the first time at a large anime convention when she attended AnimeFEST 2012. She has been a participant in many panels at both Project A-kon and AnimeFEST including but not limited to Anime Iron Artist, Draw Manga, and The Magical Journey of Self Publishing.
Kristen lives in Texas with her husband, two children, and their Siberian Husky. She handles the in house marketing for Kids R Kids Learning Academy by day. By night she is a wife, mother, comic creator, children’s book author, and whatever else she needs to be. She enjoys spending time with her family, drawing, swimming, acting childish, and writing about herself in the third person.
