Rachel Caine is the #1 internationally bestselling author of 42 novels, including 13 to date in the young adult Morganville Vampires series, most recently the late 2012 release Bitter Blood. Two more books, Fall of Night and Daylighters, will be released in May and November 2013.
In February 2014, she will premiere a new young adult fantasy novel, Prince of Shadows.
She also wrote the powerhouse nine-volume urban fantasy Weather Warden series, as well as the Outcast Season series, set in the universe of the Weather Warden novels. Her urban fantasy series The Revivalist includes Working Stiff (2011) and Two Weeks’ Notice (2012). The final installment, Terminated, will be out in August 2013.
She has also written paranormal romantic action/adventure for the Silhouette Bombshell line, including Devil’s Bargain, Devil’s Due, and the award-winning Athena Force: Line of Sight.
Rachel is also a contributor to many short story collections, most recently Hex Symbols and Enthralled: Paranormal Diversions. In 2013, she will have short fiction in the Shardes & Ashes, Carniepunk, Dark Duets and Worlds That Weren’t anthologies.
Her novels have been published in more than 24 languages around the world. She has been awarded a Career Achievement Award and a Pioneer Award in Urban Fantasy from Romantic Times.
A former professional musician, graphic artist, web designer, and corporate communications executive, Rachel finally left the business world in 2010 to devote her time completely to writing. She and her husband, award-winning fantasy artist R. Cat Conrad, live in Fort Worth, Texas.
