Mu Epsilon Kappa strives to create a safe and accepting environment of inter- and intra-cultural communication in which people are welcome to express themselves and explore their interests without fear of ridicule or persecution.

For many years MEK has provided panels and events for A-Kon® and many other conventions around Texas. Many events are invented and run by members of the Alpha chapter of MEK who hail from the University of North Texas.

Anime Jeopardy – Novice
The classic game show with fun anime themes. Are you relatively new to the world of anime? This is the game for you! If you are interested in playing this game you must correctly answer qualifying questions at the Mu Epsilon Kappa booth located in Exhibits!

Anime Jeopardy – Expert
The classic games show with fun anime themes. This round is for those who consider themselves hardcore otaku and really know their anime. If you are interested in playing this game you must correctly answer qualifying questions at the Mu Epsilon Kappa booth located in Exhibits!

Anime Jeopardy – Last Chance
The classic game show with fun anime themes. This round is for those who auditioned for the other games and didn’t make it in! Three contestants will be randomly selected from the people who qualified for the previous 2 games but were not selected.

Iron Cosplay
Love Iron Chef? Well come play the cosplay version! Teams compete by creating the best cosplay outfit they can using boxes of materials and the secret ‘ingredient’.

Anime Family Feud
Check out the newest game show from Mu Epsilon Kappa! If you loved the original on TV, then check out the anime version. Contestants will be chosen at random at the start of the game

Aspiring voice actors and fans of dubs come check this out! Contestants who made the cut in auditions will now compete head to head performing cold reads – with a twist! Come cheer on the contestants for the very first Voice Over contest at A-Kon!

Aspiring voice actors and fans of dubs come check this out! Contestants who made the cut in the 2^nd round will now compete head to head performing monologues – then get directed live by professional voice actors.
