Dance with DJ Void: A-Kon is back and its time to crank up the volume! We have been chomping at the bit all year to bring you all a good time , and we aim to accomplish our mission. Come find us at the Dj booth out in the courtyard or in the Special Events spaces giving those wonderful folks a hand.

Victorian Etiquette: We host a 5 station workshop where participants have the opportunity to practice traditional Victorian etiquette including tea time, interacting with the opposite sex, street etiquette and umbrella and cane etiquette.  Join us in this fun and interactive look at etiquette in Victorian times. We will start with a brief introduction, general overview. 12:00PM – 2:00 PM

Steampunk Afternoon Tea:We cordially invite you to partake in the third annual High Tea at A-Kon 26. Welcome back to St. Cloud for our annual tea. A scenic parlor sets the stage where guests will sip from a selection of teas and feast upon courses of biscuits, finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts. Come dressed in your fanciest finery or your most rugged airship uniform, and enjoy music and polite society amidst Steampunk nobles and other peculiar personalities. Goblin Market: A fully immersive experience where the darker denizens of the world barter and trade; a place where the only currency NOT accepted is currency. Trade away your memories for the dreams of a madman, or gain a wish for the simple price of your soul; the choices are yours to make. The Market is fraught with dangers for the unwary and delights for the unafraid. Tickets to enter the event are $10, but within the boundaries of the Market no money can exchange hands. Anime’s Symphony Regalia: An Exploration of Anime Soundtracks : Do you enjoy anime soundtracks? Want to go beyond just opening and ending themes? From Neon Genesis Evangelion composer Shiro Sagisu, Cowboy Bebop composer Yoko Kanno, to more recent works of Puella Magi Madoka Magica composer Yuki Kajiura, we’ll explore the music of different anime composers. Aether Prologue : Come see a special viewing of the newly released short, Aether: Prologue!  Written by Drew Hall and directed by Drew Hall and Horst Sarubin with an amazing award-winning crew, including Visual Effects Director and 3-time Oscar winner Alex Funke (Total Recall, Lord of the Rings), Production Designer David L. Kosplay Kombat: It’s like a Pokémon battle using cosplayers and GIANT dice. Two “trainers” will try to get the upper hand in a scenario we come up with. Each cosplayer will need to perform moves in accordance with the character they’re cosplaying. Success or failure is determined by the dice roll. 1:15 PM – 2:45 PM

Anime Jeopardy Expert: The classic games show with fun anime themes. This round is for those who consider themselves hardcore otaku and really know their anime. If you are interested in playing this game you must correctly answer qualifying questions at the Mu Epsilon Kappa booth located in Con Alley! 4:45 PM – 5:45 PM

Creating Goggles and Gadgets: Learn interesting and inexpensive way to create goggles and other gadgets. Enjoy an informative discussion and demo on creating goggle, walking sticks, and gas masks with oxygen tanks. Day in the Life of an AAA Game Developer: Discover what goes on in a AAA Studio.  We will discuss the roles of the development team and how a developer interacts with the team on a daily basis.  Programs, scheduling and ideation contribution.  There will be a small power point or demo (depending on internet availability), showing the process of making a prop and getting into the game.   6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
