Largest Gathering of people dressed as Games Characters

We have learned that there is a record set for 'Most Video Game Costumes in One Place' currently in the Guinness Book of World Records(tm). The record is 80 from a gathering in Britain.  We Think We Can Beat That! Rules are below for what constitutes a 'video game costume'. Judging/tallying will be in the Console Gaming Room (or nearby)at a day/time to be announced soon. The Console Gaming Room is on the 3rd floor of the convention center. COME IN A VIDEO GAME COSTUME and be part of history!

GUIDELINES

This record is for the most people dressed in costume as video game characters gathered in one location.

1. All participants must be wearing costumes representing characters from video games.
2. Characters from other media such as films, television, books and comics are acceptable; however these must have featured in video games BEFORE any subsequent appearances in other media.
For example:

a. Sonic the Hedgehog first appeared in a video game in 1991, prior to subsequent television and comic book appearances; therefore Sonic qualifies for the attempt
b. Batman was first featured as a comic book character in 1939, prior to his first appearance as a video game character in 1986; therefore Batman does not qualify

3. The eligibility of characters to be considered for the attempt remains at the discretion of Guinness World Records
4. Upon entering the venue all participants in full videogame character attire must sign his or her name in front of two independent witnesses of high standing in the community. Duplicates will be disqualified.
5. Each participant in costume must state the name of the character they are representing and the video game in which the character appears.
6. Two independent witnesses must provide statements declaring the exact number of participants, time, date, location and any other relevant information.
7. All participants must be gathered in one location.
8. Outfits cannot be shared or worn by more than one person for the purpose of raising the total number of participants involved. (Note:  This means a person can't wear a costume and then take it off and give it to someone else to wear.  You can have 20 people dressed as Ryu, for example, but each person has to be wearing their own costume.)
9. Sufficient stewards should be involved to ensure that all participants are in full costume. Any participants not in full costume will be disqualified.
10. Costumes must be worn for a minimum of 15 minutes simultaneously.

So pull out all those Final Fantasy, Halo, Devil May Cry, Mortal Kombat, Soul Caliber, Katamari Damacy, Dead or Alive, Champions of Norath and any other Video Game costume you can think of, and Make History! (you might even bring a screen capture or photo from a game manual to prove up your costume in case a judge questions the character you're
portraying. Never hurts.)
