Steve Bennet returns to A-Kon 19

Meet Steve join in in his Cel Art Class.

Steve Bennett

At 12, Steve was known to be the youngest animator in Japan. Under the tutelage of Japanese Animator Noboru Furusei (New Dominion Tank Police, Lupin III) he worked at Studio Aoehyma in the early 1980’s. While there, he worked on Urusei Yatsura, Macross, and Starblazers - a whole litany of 1980s anime titles, not to mention many Japanese animated Disney titles like Duck Tails and Tale Spin. This Osamu Tezukka Award winning artist co-founded Studio Ironcat, a Japanese manga publishing company. Since then he has retired from Ironcat and has started to delve back in to drawing. Visit Steve’s cel-painting workshop at the con, and catch Steve in the Komik Market as well. With his charismatic ways and love for story telling, he’s mobbed in the halls all the time.
