Crystal Yates is the author and illustrator of the online graphic novel /Earthsong/.  Started as a hobby after finishing her university degree in fine art history, anthropology and Egyptology, /Earthsong /has been ongoing since 2004 and has progressed beyond "hobby" status.  Crystal also founded the all-female webcomic collective, Tomgeeks, in 2007 with the aim of promoting and celebrating female creators in the field.

Born, raised on, and still inhabiting the outskirts of Toronto, Ontario, Crystal manages to balance her comic making with raising her two young sons... somehow.
