For years we have done a Sunday banquet where 1-2 guests sit with a set group of fans at a single table, share a buffet meal and talk about whatever. A formal banquet type of setting.  It’s time to Shake That Up a bit. 

Still on Sunday at a brunch-ish time of 11:30 (or perhaps 11AM, time is TBD) our Meet N Greet will give fans the opportunity to visit with more of the guests. 

The Game is played thus:  Fans are assigned to a table.  A Guest (or 2) will visit at that table until the Host (a Kon staffer) calls ‘Time’.  Then the Guests will change tables, and the Fans Stay At Their Tables. The guests will pick new tables to go visit, until time is called again for another change.  Played like a business networking game as well, this gives the fans a chance to meet more guests, and the guests a chance to visit more fans.

There will be several changes throughout the time period, and the food will be hors d’ouerves, or perhaps brunch-type (still determining that-what the hotel will do for the price).  This is a ticketed event, seats are limited. We do not know which, if any, of the musical groups will participate, that will be decided by them closer to the show.  

This is a new way of playing and having some fun in a non-standard banquet setting. Table assignment is still first-come first-served, and no guarantees can be made as to what guests will make rounds to which tables, but with any new game-type food event, the chance for some nice noshies, as well as a fun time, in what is basically a closed event (since it is only open to those who purchase tickets-the tickets pay for the food) with the guests, makes it a particularly special event. Plus, we usually have other entertainment as well, either staged, or wandering throughout the room, and showing the winners of the AMV contests.
