Program Book

Our program book will be 8.5 X 11" (21.5 X 28 cm) in size with a card stock, color cover. The interior will feature guest biographies, photos, autograph pages, line art, and other information. The book is provided at no additional charge to all pre-registered and full weekend convention members. It serves as promotional and reference material to fans, gamers, hotels, vendors, merchants, authors, artists, celebrity guests, other conventions, etc., long after A-Kon®. Your ad will circulate for some time, and will be part of a book that many will consider a collectors' item!

Last years A-Kon® attendance was approximately 15,000+ people. We expect a 20%+/- increase in attendance, about 17,000+ people for A-Kon® 19. Our convention members come from all over the US, Canada, Australia, Japan and other countries, making our appeal international, and run the spectrum in age and occupation. The majority range from 18 to 40 years of age.

Placing an ad in A-Kon®'s program book can help introduce the fans to your store, service, business, or company. Even if you cannot attend the event, ads are a great way to show support for our local effort. Your business need not be local, although while in town many A-Kon® members travel to various business represented in the program book just to see places of interest while in the Dallas Area. They want to shop, eat in restaurants, and do things not available in their city of origin. Local fans learn about businesses new to them in their own neighborhoods, and can become loyal repeat customers. Some become mail order customers, once they are made aware of your goods or services.

We boast an ever increasing membership, a full weekend of exciting activities, expanded dealers/vendor area, more media coverage, and better fan connections! Deadlines

Our final date to be included in the Program Book is April 1, 2008, for your camera ready, black and white, positive hard copy, and April 5, 2008 for your E-mail file. These dates are the dates your ad must arrive by. Please include any art or font file necessary to reproduce your advertisement. We do not need reversed artwork or mechanical. If you desire to advertise, but do not have time to design an ad, or do not have access to desktop publishing equipment, consider this: for a modest additional charge, we will design your ad on site to include whatever information you provide. Price schedule follows.
