We at A-Kon® are sure that you have all heard of the tragic events that took place March 11 in Japan, an 8.9 magnitude earthquake followed by smaller quakes and tsunami waves. Japan still needs your help. Please keep the people of Japan in your thoughts as they work to overcome this terrible natural disaster. Here is a list of some organizations that will be helping, if you are looking for somewhere to donate AMERICAN RED CROSS: Emergency Operation Centers are opened in the affected areas and staffed by the chapters. https://american.redcross.org/site/D...rm1&df_id=5052. CONVOY OF HOPE: Disaster Response team established connection with in-country partners who have been impacted by the damage and are identifying the needs and areas where Convoy of Hope may be of the greatest assistance. http://www.convoyofhope.org/. THE AMERICAN JEWISH JOINT DISTRIBUTION COMMITTEE: Is sending relief to the affected areas. https://www.jdc.org/donation/donate.aspx UMCOR is the United Methodist Committee on Relief. 100% of all donations go to relief efforts. UMCOR overhead is covered by the church so 100% of donations go to the designated projects/relief efforts.
